Aerofilms is a prominent film distributor in Central Europe, focusing on award-winning international and independent films in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. The company has distributed numerous Cannes-winning films, including Anatomy of a Fall, Perfect Days, The Zone of Interest, Triangle of Sadness or Fallen Leaves. Aerofilms also collaborates with A24, distributing titles such as The Whale, The Green Book, Love Lies Bleeding, Past Lives or Midsommar. As Head of Marketing and PR, Štefan has led Aerofilms through a profound digital transformation, modernizing its approach to marketing and PR while maintaining the company’s core artistic values. His efforts have been instrumental in expanding Aerofilms' footprint in new markets and building deeper engagement with diverse audiences across multiple territories. Štefan spearheaded the company’s shift from traditional to digital marketing, implementing new tools and reshaping content strategies. This involved optimizing Aerofilms' digital platforms, leveraging data to target specific audience segments, and streamlining operations to improve efficiency and reach. Štefan focused on updating the content shared across social media, websites, and other digital platforms, ensuring that Aerofilms remained relevant and accessible. He redefined how the company communicated with its audience, creating tailored marketing campaigns for individual films and broadening the company’s appeal across different demographics. Recognizing the importance of social media influencers, Štefan developed and launched an influencer marketing program. This initiative increased the visibility of Aerofilms' titles by partnering with influencers whose audiences aligned with the company’s core demographic. Influencers helped drive awareness and conversations about films such as The Zone of Interest and Perfect Days. Štefan also led co-branded campaigns with industry partners, creating synergistic marketing efforts that amplified the visibility of Aerofilms' projects. Collaborations with media outlets, film festivals, and brands resulted in innovative campaigns that strengthened Aerofilms’ brand image and opened new promotional avenues. In managing marketing for Aerofilms across Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania, I closely coordinated with our on-site distribution partners to ensure seamless execution of campaigns tailored to each region. Working collaboratively, we localized content and promotional materials to align with cultural preferences. This partnership-based approach allowed us to leverage local market expertise, ensuring the films we distributed resonated strongly with regional audiences, while achieving cohesive and impactful marketing outcomes across all territories.
